Bio
Daniel, a Hertz Fellow, works as a Sr. Staff Product Design Engineer at Google, LLC.
Daniel currently works on materials engineering, with a focus on thermal interface materials, for Google’s compute infrastructure. In his previous role at Alphabet, he was the technical lead for an early stage project at X using advanced technologies for plastics sorting and chemical recycling. Prior to that, he worked in and then led the global failure analysis and materials characterization labs as well as the global reliability labs at Google with a focus on consumer electronics.
During his graduate studies at Stanford, Daniel worked on ultrafast mid-infrared spectroscopy of solute-solvent complexes and surfaces. After graduate school, before moving to Google, he worked at Exponent, Inc. as a consultant in the Polymers and Materials Chemistry practice for clients across multiple industries.
